Intel7260HMW on Nvidia TK1
Intel7260HMW is a dual band wireless mini PCIe module with BLE4.0 functionality.
As we using Intel7260HMW in our clients project with TK1, so we like to share you our experience on that.
Step 1. You need to check your kernel version of your TK1
head -n 1 /etc/nv_tegra_release
Like feedback as below means I got a R21.4 version system.
ubuntu@tegra-ubuntu:~$ head -n 1 /etc/nv_tegra_release
# R21 (release), REVISION: 4.0, GCID: 5650832, BOARD: ardbeg, EABI: hard, DATE: Thu Jun 25 22:38:59 UTC 2015
If your kernel version is lower than R21.4 you might need to update your kernel or the driver will to work for you.
Step 2. Download and copy it to /lib/firmware/ folder
wget https://wireless.wiki.kernel.org/_media/en/users/drivers/iwlwifi-7260-ucode-22.1.7.0.tgz
tar zvxf iwlwifi-7260-ucode-22.1.7.0.tgz
cd iwlwifi-7260-ucode-22.1.7.0
sudo cp iwlwifi-7260-7.ucode /lib/firmware
After reboot, you should have Intel7260HMW working in your TK1. Enjoy it. 🙂
